About Shelly Moore

Background

Shelly has been involved with horses from the early age of 2, riding her cousin’s quarter horses and ponies every chance she got. As she grew older her love of horses continued to deepen and she realized that horses would always be a large part of her life.

Shelly became actively involved in complimentary/adjunctive/alternative health care for equines in the late 80’s. She become involved with Linda Tellington-Jones TTEAM™ in the early 90’s …long before it was common to find equine body workers. She continues her TTouch™ Equine Educational pursuits in addition to many other modalities.

She works individually with horses, is a clinician in group trainings, and has taught at the area colleges. She had regular weekly class series through Lane Community College’s Continuing Education Department in the area of equine health and wellness, in addition to guest teaching Starting A Young horse program at Oregon State University.

Shelly enjoys working with horses and their owners. She educates people in horse wisdom. This involves teaching people how to have deeper and more holistic and lasting relationships with their animals.

She takes her ongoing training and education quite seriously. Shelly has worked with many of the top equine health care professionals to deepen her understanding of how to help horses heal themselves. Through continuing education Shelly is able to improve the quality of care and understanding that she brings to her all of her clients.

Shelly has a varied and vast background in horse care and management. She has been involved with many equine rescue and rehabilitation programs, including Oregon Horse Rescue, Emerald Valley Equine Assistance and Rescue Ranch.

She has also managed a privately owned boarding facility, LongAcres Farm for several years before she and her husband purchased their own farm.

Shelly has participated in many riding disciplines over the years, starting out in Western Pleasure, English Pleasure, Trail Course, Equitation and Halter. In her mid-twenties she became interested in the “English” aspects of riding and went on to enjoy Eventing, Jumping and most currently Dressage.

Currently Shelly, and her husband Scot share Full Circle Farm with their horses, Hungarian Vizsla dogs, and multiple cats.
